Simplified to CT FOSTERS, our new name clarifies our focus on fostering. It also highlights the collective effort of families, organizations and leaders throughout Connecticut to care for our children. CT works together. CT protects. CT nurtures. CT FOSTERS.
Unifying Families
Our refreshed visual identity features individual pieces coming together. It represents the collected effort AND the act of unifying. This emphasizes the ultimate mission of DCF and CT FOSTERS – to reunite families and help make them whole.
The heart shape reminds us that love is at the core of everything we do. Our love for children and families. Our state’s love for its residents. And the love that every child deserves.
Mobilizing Love
Our new identity will be accompanied by messaging that better describes the work we do and how we do it, while dispelling misconceptions about DCF.
We are mobilizers. We recognize the tremendous challenges families face as well as the remarkable resources we have in this state to address them. So, like all effective community leaders, our job is to find, organize, and prepare these resources.
We mobilize people and organizations throughout the state to unify families so children get the care they deserve. In simplest terms, we mobilize love.
