Rentschler Field, East Hartford, CT
Open to DCF Foster, Adoptive, Kinship and Special Study youth ages 13-19. Youth must be accompanied by an adult.
Every year, our Avenue of Dreams event provides up to 175 foster and adopted youth (13-19) with free prom dresses, tuxedos, suits, shoes, makeup, and accessories. ln addition, these young men and women attend motivational workshops and more!
Volunteers Needed
- Hairstylists (Do not need to stay for full event)
- Make up artists (Do not need to stay for full event)
- Barbers (Do not need to stay for full event)
- Dressing room attendants
- Shoe attendants
- Seamstress
- Fairy Glam Mothers (Youth group Leader for day)
- Shining Knights (Youth group Leader for day)
- Photographers
- Northern Belles
- Manicurists
- Estheticians
- Set-up Crew
- Cleaning Crew
- Reiki
Prom Attire Donation Drive
Items needed:
- Plus Size Prom Dresses (12 & up only)
- Men’s Dress Shoes
- Men’s Attire
- New Makeup

Host a Donation Drive!
CAFAF is always looking for donations of prom attire, makeup, and personal hygiene items. If you are interested in holding a donation drive, please contact Samantha Heltke.

Volunteer
CAFAF is looking for volunteers to assist at Avenue of Dreams. Some opportunities include hair stlyists, make up artists, dressing room attendants, Shining Knights, Fairy Glam Mothers, and barbers!

Spread the Word!
If you cannot hold a drive or volunteer, then please spread the word to family and friends! Reminder: Youth attendees invited to this event are foster and adoptive youth. This is NOT a public event for other youth / teens.
