Children’s Hope Fund

CAFAF maintains a fund, 100% comprised of grants and donations, designed to build to support for foster and adoptive families and kinship care children.

Examples of Eligible Expenses

  • ✓Summer Camp
  • ✓Lessons (swimming, dance, music)
  • ✓School sponsored field trips


Ineligible Expenses

  • ✗Medical care or equipment
  • ✗Dental care or equipment
  • ✗Psychological care
  • ✗Educational expenses or equipment
  • ✗Child care

Award Guidelines

  1. The family must contact CAFAF to apply prior to registering the child for a program, class, etc.
  2. The family is expected to fund a portion of the total expense.
  3. Actual awarded amount is based on availability of funds.
  4. Families may only apply once per year, from the date of issue of the previous award check.
  5. Approval based on funding availability.

Documentation

  1. The family must complete an application stating their reimbursement request.
  2. Invoices and/or receipts to show the total cost and the portion paid by the family are required.
  3. Completion of an application is not a guarantee of funding.
