Module 26: Youth Mental Health First Aid

Participants will learn the signs and symptoms of these mental health problems, and when and how to get help, and what sort of help has been shown by research to be effective.
The course covers the following crisis situation and mental health problems:
1. Suicidal behavior
2. Non suicidal self-injury (self-harm)
3. Acute stress reaction
4. Panic attacks
5. Acute psychotic behavior

The Mental Health Problems covered are:
1. Depression
2. Anxiety disorders
3. Psychotic disorders
4. Substance use disorders
5. Eating disorders
